Maplestory why do warriors need dex

Check out the v. January edited January in General Chat. So after being a Warrior for a couple weeks now, I know pretty much the basics. Level up strength and dexterity and get heavy armored equipment and high attack weapons. But this one troubling question that has brought me to a fork in the roads is, 'Why don't Warriors just level up Intelligence? Like Magicians do? They're warriors. They use big strong weapons, have high health, high defense, and high strength.

But who in the history of Maplestory has ever, and I mean ever, simply attacked monsters using only the basic attack ctrl key? I mean think about it. Nobody simply thrusts their weapon forward at one, singular enemy.

Everybody uses skills. Skills give you all these powers for every single Hero and class in Maplestory. Then what does having a high attack weapon used for? And what is having high strength used for if you're just going to using your skills? Am I missing something here? Does raising the strength stat also increase skill stats because when I tried it out, the higher my Intelligence was the higher my skills were.

Keep in mind, strength is the only stat to increase weapons' attack power. If you think you are good to go with 80 dex, you should add in strength scrolls for more damage. The Warrior. The Fighter. The Page. The Spearman. The Crusader. The most common caps tend to be 4, 10, 14 and Anything higher than 24 is considered "high-DEX", and very bad.

User Info: Truthtela. The way I went was, 20 base dex. And my equips were: Lvl10 Brown Dana. You can also go with a red headband if you don't have enough meso Mallet I used a well scrolled one. But really what you will want is whatever gives you more attack. A 4dex8acc work glove.

Lvl25 5Acc Fish Spear. You can be using a pumpkin spear if you can get one. When you are lvl 43 buy a lvl 43 maple weapon. This will will be enough untill you leave CPQ. How's your muffin? User Info: marth The most common caps tend to be 4, 10, 15, 40 and Anything higher than 80 is considered "high-DEX", and very bad. User Info: Kingseafood. Fixed fixed :D people are too obsessed with damage i have 80 dexand nothings wrong with me Don't give out the wrong information.

New players can keep their dex at 40 if they like and still have a great deal of freedom on where to train. It's not a matter of being obsessed with damage, it's a matter of common sense. If it works for you, great. If you made the character 2 years ago, that's fine too. But nowdays saying 80 dex is 'normal' dex is wrong. Why don't you give your opinions on why 80 dex is good and make it well known to be just that, an opinion.

User Info: Moribalken. That's only among people that actually visit these boards. Everyone else thinks that you need a billion mesos to do that.
